Permobil

Swedish-owned, with the most advanced power positioning systems (tilt, recline, seat elevator, standing) on the market. Expensive, but the standard for high-need users.

Quantum Rehab

Best mid-wheel-drive maneuverability and the iLevel seat elevation system that pioneered safe driving at elevated height. The default pick for active wheelchair users who navigate tight indoor spaces.

Pride Mobility (consumer Jazzy line)

The mass-market brand: widest dealer network, broadest cash-pay model lineup, fastest parts availability. Not the highest tech, but the easiest to live with long-term.

Where independents fit

Direct-to-consumer brands now offer travel and folding chairs the Big Three barely compete in. For a primary rehab chair, stick with the Big Three; for a travel chair, the DTC market is often a better value.
